Tucked away on Godown Road in Columbus, Kung Fu Noodle is one of the most authentic Chinese dining experiences we’ve found in Ohio. Specializing in Lanzhou-style hand-pulled noodles, the restaurant preserves a culinary tradition that dates back centuries, with noodles stretched and prepared fresh in-house every day using traditional techniques.
What makes this place stand out is the craftsmanship behind every bowl. The restaurant’s mission is centered around preserving traditional Chinese culinary culture through handmade food, with the vast majority of menu items prepared from scratch. From rich noodle soups and stir-fried noodle dishes to dumplings, skewers, and appetizers, every dish showcases the texture and flavor that only fresh hand-pulled noodles can provide.
The menu goes well beyond noodle soup. During our visit, the Pork Stir Fry Noodles and Dan Dan Hand-Stretched Noodles were standouts, while the Soup Dumplings, Rib Skewers, and refreshing Cucumber Salad rounded out the experience perfectly. Finish it off with a Mochi Donut and Bubble Tea, and you’ll quickly understand why this spot earned recognition as one of Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in America.
If you’re looking for a restaurant that feels like a true hidden gem, Kung Fu Noodle is absolutely worth the trip.
